Hi! I’m Leela. I’m currently pursuing my MFA in Interior Design at Parsons School of Design. Previously, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and spent five years at Apple, first in a mechanical product design role on their Touch and Sensing team, then as an engineering program manager in their Vision Products Group. In the past I’ve interned with Blue River Technology, D-Rev, and Sereneti Kitchens, and published research with UC Berkeley’s AUTOLAB.

Now, I am expanding my practice into spatial and conceptual design. I am interested in crafting experiential spaces, including hospitality and pop-up’s, as well as residential spaces. My approach to spatial design defined by my background in products - with an eye for detail, intuitive understanding of material, and belief in hands-on end to end project execution.
